Good Morning, my name is is Allan and I am from South Africa and I am in desperate need of assistance with our Chev Captiva LT 2.4, 2011 model (Manual). what we have done thus far, timing chain was making a noise, P0014 code showed, had both top and bottom chain replaced, however, after 40km code would show again, replaced VVT valve on exhaust cam, still no luck. Discovered that the exhaust manifold had a crack and that the catelator was blocked. Replaced manifold, removed catetalator and deleted lambda sensor from computer. Yet, code P0014 is still showing and randomly code P 0030 with the traction control light coming on intermittently. Vehicle is smoking with black deposits exiting the tail exhaust. (Plugs have been replaced twice) Fuel consumption is extremely high. Thanks, much appreciated.
