Refueling gas will spill out with 1/4 full indicated.

Question

When refueling my 2004 Nissan Sentra, it will only allow me to fuel 1 gallon approximately, then it will spill out fuel.

What can I do to resolve this issue? Could this be due to the fact of low gas in the tank? It, actually, acts as though I have a lot of gas, although the gas gauge registers 1/4 more or less.

Also, my vehicle has regular service at a Nissan Service center.

the Vent Control Valve is most likely bad.
