I replaced the fuel pump and once I tried starting it I had to keep my foot on the gas for it to stay barely crank without full power. What can I do next or have missed.

Your not getting enough fuel, measuring the fuel pressure would be good, you can check certain area such as the fuel pressure regulator, if the fuel pressure regulator is stuck open there would be no  fuel or little fuel getting to the fuel injectors, just clamping the fuel return line will help determine if the fuel pressure regulator is the problem. The other problem may have occurred is with the fuel pump , on the fuel pump feed the hose should be secured

Here a fuel pump with a faulty feed hose cause low fuel pressure
