Bought in 2005. Trans hesitated shifting 2-3. Wasn't bad, I just don't romp on it till it shifted. Decided to have it rebuilt in 2012. No problems until time for warranty to run out. (2013) Then I realized I was revving out, not shifting into 4th (OD). Went back to shop and codes were saying a faulty neutral safety. He wanted $300.00 to fix it. I said I couldn't afford it. I bought a new switch from Oreilly's. Installed it. Adjusted it according to book. Still no 4th gear. Go back to shop and a whole different set of codes. Saying shift solenoids are bad. Went home. Bought a trans manual. Pulled shift solenoids this last weekend. Range should be between 11-15 ohms. All 3 tested from 12.2-13.5. Reinstalled and 4 qts Castrol Trans and filter. Still no 4th gear. Here are the codes before I cleared this morning. P1491....P0545......P0443.....P0700....P0705. Cleared. By the time I got to the station 4 codes no P0700. Anyone had this problem? Got any ideas? My Jeep has 271,000 miles. Still runs great and looks great. She's my baby. Doesn't even burn oil. I change plugs every 8000 miles. Last change clean white. Great engine, I just hate the electronics. Suggestions?
