2004 lLand Rover Discovery TD5 p0705 gear-box

Good day sir.
I recently purchased a 2004 Land Rover Discovery TD5 auto, and have experianced this problem , after selecting D ( drive ) the Landy sometimes would not move, when this happens i have to rev the engine a few times ( in park ) , then select D again, this most times gets the lady moving, other times after a few hard reves this still would not work and i then have to leave her for a few minutes and try again.
i DESPERATEL NEED ANY INFO OR SULUTIONS TO IRONING OUT THIS PROBLEM .

P0705 Transmission position switch input

This code could of been set by the way it was put in gear , reving the engine hard to get the vehicle to move is more of a hydraulic condition  with the transmission . Check you transmission fluid level ensure it is correct. , before you replace the the transmission position sensor.
