My car is stalling and I am having difficulty shifting 2 to 3 gear

I am having trouble with my VW Jetta 2006. My car has 75000 miles and I have done all the maintenance required to keep it in perfect condition. The engine light comes and goes.
Yesterday I started the car but I wouldn't move forward or backwards. Today I started the car and it drives with no problem. I am taking the car to the mechanic on Monday so I would like to know if anyone has encounter this problem and how they resolved the problem.
I would appreciate any feedback as the car is older and it might not be cost effective to fix it.

These codes indicate an issue with gears 3 and 4. This could be due to a faulty solenoid or transmission mechanical problems. Here is a link for more info.
