fuel filter was changed. runs rough. code p0300 comes up

shop changed the fuel filter. began to run rough and idle rough. OBD P300 code
could a filter cause this?

Hi there

Typically a fuel filter won't cause this, however if it's installed backwards it could. There are several reasons for this code. If for some reason the filter is restricting the fuel pressure, it could be the problem.
