You have a big short , you would need special tools that would measure the current draw. You can find the big short but its the small parastatic draw that going to be the difficult one, This is almost as though this vehicle is a flooded vehicle where the relay has shorted or rain may have entered into the fuse relay box, the starter cable check that area for a big short to ground, , if you want to find the short you have to start at the fuse relay box.

You just start from the starter, We had the same problem with a BMW the fuse relay was in the trunck area, the owner took the the weather strip out, to make matter really worse his kid wanted to do a father day surprised  by washing the car , water everywhere washed the intereior and exterior including the fuse relay box. WD40 a blow dryer , and this vehicle is still having gremlins, use a electrical cleaner and by the way your going to be a BMW electrical expert, be patient if your willing take apart one of ther relay then you see there water in there and may be rust. do not mix them up BMW is so top secrets when it comes to there electrical repair.

Thanks Reynaldo it looks like the starter motor cable was loose it doesn't seem to be running the battery down now, I have just got to find the reason for the lights flashing  and wipers going on they're own, got an auto electrician coming on Tuesday thanks very much for your help I appreciate it
