P0520 code. Is is dangerous not to fix it immediately?

Question

Check engine light came on when oil change due light came on. After changing oil check engine light stayed on. Had diagnostic checked and the code P0520 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit was found.

P0520 Engine oil pressure sensor

This is a critical sensor, if it short to ground it would affect the operation of the throttle position sensor., The fix for this is to use the required revised update part that Chrysler has put out. This part you have to check with the Dealer as for the warranty. Here a small TSB Bulletin produced
