With a code of P0520, what kind of damage will I do if I drive it to and from work

The P0520 cod is for the oil pressure switch, but can also be triggered by low oil level or low oil pressure. If the oil level is low or there is no enough oil pressure you can damage the engine. You should check the engine oil level, if the oil level is OK and there is no noise from the engine, then it's probably safe to drive it.
