How to solve this code P1705

Question

My 2007 ford explorer has this code:P1705 -The transmission range circuit is not indicating PARK/NEUTRAL during self-test.

Note: it doesent have any motion forward or backwards

P1705 Transmission range sensor out of self range test

Are you able to get the vehicle in neutral ? P1705 are know causes for the Ford vehicle and particular at this year where Ford had to produce a Campaign A/T shifter lever circuit board replacement. what happens is they can not get out of Park even when the brake is depressed.  Other than that P1705 is a straight forward code where the gear selector range switch is replaced for the solution
