car goes in gear, drives good and shifts good. then engine light goes out.

i have a 2003 jetta with 1.8 engine. code P0768 comes on then after driving a few minutes light goes out. car shifts and drives good. car ldiles fine but when its in drive then idiles roughs. the will go away and the car runs fine. not all the time will this code come up. what could be the problem?

Vehicle: 2003, Volkswagen, jetta, 1.8L
