How would it become immobilized and what do I do and if the code reads po462 what needs to be done

If the car is immobilized, then it's got to have the keys reprogrammed, either by a dealer or mobile locksmith.

As for the code, it is possible the car isn't starting because of the sending unit not making good contact in the wiring which could prevent the fuel pump from running.
