the miss is intermittent. someone told me it could be a vacuum line problem. i'm a new be when it comes to fixing my truck. where do the vacuum lines run?

A vacuum line these would be lines like the brake booster vacuum hose, or any hose that would transport engine vacuum, an  no a vacuum line would cause the engine RPM to go high constantly and no misfire condition, If you have a misfire condition, and it is intermittent, this is ignition. such as the ignition coil, check the rear top  engine area usually heater hose breaks or leaks  and coolant seeps into the sparkplug well and create a misfire condition
