Crank sensor will not take relearn procedure

I replace crank sensor need to relearn it hook scan tool up and it will not relearn it starts to procedure but will not finish

The crankshaft relearn procedure , this is software with the vehicle ECM and software with the scantool . The software program in the scan tool will monitor the CKP the CMP and the ECT, (engine coolant temperature) sensor. If all these sensor are met, the Engine ECT will enable the scantool. The scan tool will reject the relearn if there is a pending code. Not doing a CKP does not set a DTC. what happens when there is no CKP relearn if ever there is a misfire event let say cylinder 2.and a P0302 is set there you end up diagnose cylinder 2 , but that not the problem cylinder it is just identified incorrectly , when the real misfire event is cylinder 6. Two thing that will not allow a relearn to finish  a pending code, which is a P0300. or the scan tool. Your brave a lot of people after a CKP replacement is to scared to perform a relearn
