Would it cause the car to jerk when accelerating?

The car bucks\jerks when accelerating from a complete stop. Would this be cause by something from the error code P0444?

Typically this code would not cause the jerking feeling. You may have an issue with the mass air flow sensor or possibly something a bad ignition coil or plug. This code is for the purge control solenoid in the evap system. I would take care of this problem first however just to be sure.
