Why code po171 after replaceing vvt solonoid?

Had code poo10 replaced vvt so long I'd after about 50 miles ck light went on has code po171 now.

P0010 Intake  camshaft position actuator solenoid valve control circuit

P0010 is a Type "B" code, this means it will store a freeze frame when the fault is detected. Because of the code condition the ECM will suspend any other code as long as it is not a type "A" code. You may of had a lean code condition but because P0010 was set the actual fuel trim was not calculated until the code condition correction.
