2012 gmc tarrain wont start

Ive replaced the vvt sensor car engine turns over but wont start comes back with acode p2101

P2101 Throttle actuator position performance

Everything on the throttle body connected correctly, Even if this code was set and the engine started the throttle would  go to limp home mode. and if P2101 is set it would set with a P1516, somehow you are not properly connected.
