02 sentra wont start code p0506

i have a 2002 nissan sentra gxe 1.8l i got in it to go to work wouldnt crank. its reading code p0506 the only way it will crank is if you hold the gas down while cranking it once it starts if you let off the gas it cuts off i dont know what to do

Try unplugging the mass air flow sensor. The code really indicates an issue with the throttle body, but sometimes the mass air flow sensor will prevent it from starting.
