2004 Nissan Xterra P0340

Question

So I have been getting a P0340 code for a 2004 Nissan Xterra. One day it just shut off while I was driving. I have changed the distributor, still nothing. Could it be a timing belt issue ?

Hi there

It can be a timing belt issue. Take the distributor cap off, then crank the engine and make sure the rotor turns. If it doesn't then you know the belt is broken.
