Hi,
I need to change my mass air flow sensor (I cleaned it and check the filter and all, and the problem comes back). I have been told to use only the volks part for the MAF and not a generic on the jetta (2004, 2.0). There is a huge price difference between them, I want to check before.

Thanks!
Vehicle: volks jetta 2.0 2004

Hi there

With the maf sensor being such a huge part of the system it's recommended to use the factory sensor. Most of the time the aftermarket sensors don't meet the standards and fail very quickly. You could try to locate a used on on Ebay. I did that with my Maxima and got 3 yrs out of it.
