Nissan Versa, 2007.  Sometimes my car does not start on the first try. It could be the second or third try.  This had been going on since 2012.  I could go months without it happening, then it could happen 2 or 3 times in 1 week. I have taken to the dealer 4 times.  They could not find the problem. The code they put on my report is P1615.  The last time they told me I have to change the battery before they can continue to find the problem.  I am sure it is not my battery that is causing the problem.  In the winter, it could sit outside for a week without using it.  The car starts right away.  I have that problem in the winter and summer.  The weather has nothing to do with it. Is there a solution

Hi there

This is an anti theft code. Normally the car won't start at all if this code is there. It's for a difference of key, which means the computer and immobilizer doesn't recognize the key you are using. Most of the time this will shut the car down and prevent starting at all. For it to come in and out like this would be extremely rare.
