2003 GMC Yukon with code P1615. My battery is not charging

2003 GMC Yukon XL V8 with code P1615. My battery is not charging, and this is the error code, waz up?

P1615 Loss of VTD serial data,This is a ECM problem,was there any p0600 code with it, If the battery is not chargining We need to find that before  anything else,can you get a jump start?Or get the battery charge,clear the codes,A drained battery may throw this code, Lets hope this code is due to the alternator not charging
