SUBJECT: Flash: No MIL Illumination -Transmission Limp In
OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software.
MODELS: 2006 (PT) PT Cruiser Convertible
NOTE :This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.4L engine and automatic transmission (sales code EDZ and DGL) and equipped with ABS (sales codes BRT, BRK, or BR4) built prior to December 20, 2005 (MDH 1220XX).

DIAGNOSIS: Using a Scan Tool (StarSCAN(R)) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all engine systems are functioning as designed.
If the vehicle was built within the build range listed above, perform the Repair Procedure.
