Ok so one day I turn my car on and the car idles at a super low RPM almost stalling out. It felt like it was taking longer to accelerate to so i took it to my buddies house and his dad looked at it and used the scanner and everything with the cod P1399 so Im trying to find out which one misfired and taking out spark plug wires and what not then i pull one out and the car stays on. after I put it back in the car will not start any more and I got new spark plugs and spark plug wires I have no idea what else it could be since my starter works and it cranks up it just wont start

Best answer

P1399 Random misfire

Since you are doing the sparkplugs and wire, take a look inside the distributor , there is a distributor rotor , these rotor tends to rotate out of position , and in doing so. the spark timing is off, which results in low power , slow acceleration. That one area that should be looked into due to the low power, If the problem is there the timing belt should be looked into.

Timing belt may have to be looked into, and being in proper timing.
