The fuel pump is working properly, as well as the spark plugs and boots, the battery had more than enough power to crank, the starter is working properly so why is the camshaft sensor the only code that appears but car still won't start. After changing the camshaft position sensor because of the code it still won't start even though the fuel injectors, starter, and spark plugs are firing. Why?
Vehicle:
2006 Mitsubishi Gallant four cylinder engine.

Hi there,
Check the engine compression. If it jumped time, you can still have fuel and spark, but you will get an almost instant cam sensor code and it won't run because of the timing being off. You can either pull the timing cover and check the upper and lower marks, or do a compression test to determine if there is enough compression for the engine to run.
