Question

when this happens, i start the car after it has set for 6 hour or overnight, then i start driving, after a few minutes i notice that the temp gage is not moving, and i am not able to get the A/C compressor to come on, then about 10 or 15 miles later the service engine soon lite comes on, when i got home i scanned the for codes i got P0128, after clearing the code every thing comes back to normal, i also noticed while scanning some of the monitors was showing they had not cleared, any suggestions would be appreciated

Faulty connection with the ECT sensor, when the sensor goes open the engine coolant temperature will read -40 degrees, F. the fan and the a/c will not turn on, If you read the live data on the scan tool and it reads -40 your not connected, The first area to suspect and rule out is a faulty connection.
