What can go wrong when you put the battery backwards any sensors go bad or solenoid?

It gives me 8 codes after running computer. I just got what they call a "rebuilt engine", valves/head/pistons/fuel pump/timing belt.

Hi there

Typically if you put the battery in backwards it will blow the main fusible link. This should prevent any damage to the other sensors and the control unit.
