I replace ECT, Thermostat, and made sure coolant level is full and i still have p0118 code, what else could cause this problem. Temp gauge isnt working and i have a obd2 scanner and it says the coolant is -40 degrees. The fans kick on around 200 degrees. Can the fan switch sensor be the problem?

P0118 ECT sensor circuit high voltage

What you have is a open circuit with the ECT wire , if the radiator fan comes as scheduled, you only have a problem with the ECT harness or at the ECM connection on one side of the wire connection you should have 5 volts if you jump the grn/blk and red/wht it should drop to -20 if it does replace ECT sensor here a diagram for viewing it does go into the IAT
