2003 Honda CRV is getting a check engine light for P0661

Question

My 2003 Honda CRV is getting a check engine light for code P0661 for about a year, the light goes on and off by itself after driving a day or two, my mechanic thinks it's bad gas. I tried gas from different gas stations but the engine light still comes on and off, any idea why.

P0661 IMRC valve position sensor circuit low

You check the connection, for proper connecting, a circuit low on a Honda means it not connected, If the connection was is disconnected on the IMRC valve position sensor you would set a P0661 right way, Going on the then going off. check the connection
