The day after my client added a tracker to his daughter who leaves for college on Wednesday's car it threw the p605 code. Could these be related?

P0605 Internal control module Read only memory (ROM) error

More than likely this may not be related to what you have Hyundai has a TSB about this code condition on how to approach this from a diagnostic approach. and this code is usually not set by itself but is accompanied with another code such as P0605 and P2110 , When its P0605 and P2105 and they are the only codes present you replace the PCM. TSB # 13-FL-001 titled Engine control P0605 diagnostic procedure.

So the code came up by itself, if that makes a difference. I did see the TSB about the Elentra years 2011-2013. However, it seemed oddly coincidental that it would happen the day after he plugged a tracker into the OBD/DLC port. And that it would come up alone. I unhooked the tracker cleared the code and instructed the customer to return if the code did. I asked him as well to plug the tracker in a day before she goes to see if it immediately comes back. A little anecdotal test. But I was curious if anyone had run into this causing that code
