I recently replaced the throttle body on my 2007 Chevy Colorado. Turns out that wasn't the problem and now when I start the truck it idles very rough and will die unless I remove the intake hose to give it air. It idles up fine and then you can attack the hose and drive normally. I'm an electrician not a mechanic but it seems like it's not getting enough air. I also cleaned and reoiled my K&N air filter and replaced the Mass air flow sensor. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.

You have a vacuum leak , If you disconnect the MAF sensor the system will go rich , use a brake cleaner or carburetor cleaner and check for a vacuum leak at and around the throttle body gasket area.
