Have replaced air filter, map sensor and maf sensor and check engine light will not go off.

Have checked engine light give code p0101. I have replace with new parts air filter, map sensor and maf sensor. Check engine light went of after disconnecting battery for a couple of hours and now back on

You would have to check with the dealer, Mazda put out  a TSB for this code condition where the fix is to reset and reprogram the ECM TSB # 01-11/13 here a small TSB sample

DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may exhibit a MIL illumination with DTC P0101:00 stored in memory.

^	DTC P0101:00 - MAF sensor circuit range/performance problem

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.	Verify the customer complaint of a MIL illumination with DTC P0101:00 stored in memory.
2.	Perform a Warranty Vehicle Inquiry using the eMDCS system: - If the eMDCS Warranty Vehicle inquiry shows campaign MSP36 as "Open", reprogram the PCM according to this service bulletin and submit the claim using MSP36 Open from the Warranty Information. If the eMDCS Warranty Vehicle inquiry shows campaign MSP36 as "Closed", reprogram the PCM according to this service bulletin and submit the claim using MSP36 Closed from the Warranty Information.
3.	Reboot the IDS to clear memory before reprogramming.
4.	Using IDS 82.05 or 83.02 or later software, reprogram the PCM to the latest calibration (refer to "Calibration Information" table) by following the Module Reprogramming" procedure.
