Code 0301 misfire, Cylinder 1 misfire.

Question

I had a misfire code 0301. I swapped the ignition coil #1 with ignition coil #2.  Do I need to reset the codes to show that I put on a new ignition coil on #1, so that I can see if the issue moves to cylinder #2 misfire?

Hi there,

It is best to clear the code because the #1 misfire could stay in there and show up with the #2. You are better off starting with a clean slate.
