What is VIAS control solenoid?

My Nisson 2005 Quest  has a P1800 error code.  I don't see any difference in driving.  What can it be?  Can I fix it myself? What does it hurt?

VIAS = Variable Intake Air System

Could be the VIAS control solenoid valve.
