2000 Honda Odyssey with engine code P1298. Do I really have to replace the whole fuse box? or is there a new fix? should I check the alternator first?

P1298 High voltage in the ELD circuit

The ELD can be purchase as a serviceable unit, before you replace the ELD check the fuse,  at the fuse under the driver dash replace any that are open.
