P2138 Honda - Would this cause the transmission to shift hard?

transmisson has trouble shifting, and when it does, it shifts hard. this started when the check engine light came on. oil level in transmission good.

This code is for the app sensor. This is the sensor on the gas pedal that sends the signal to the throttle body. If this isn't reading properly it could affect the shift pattern of the transmission, but it could also feel like it's affecting the shifting if the throttle isn't working properly.
