I have a 2007 Mazda 6 2.3l and I got a code p240, what are the repairs that I need to look into

it cut off twice last night , after sitting a few hours , new battery , I had this check engine light on for about a konth but got erased when battery died,  not sure where to start , a bit of rough idle , needle is slightly erratic at times
