My car was involved in a wreck now my speedometer don't work the only code I get is p0720

I change the speed sensor for a use one but still the spedo don't work

P0720 Output speed sensor circuit malfunction

If the speedodmeter does not work , the signal comes from the VSS to the instrument cluster, and since this is a wreck vehicle the ground for the speed sensor has to be verified.
