no service soon light ford f53 1999 motorhome

on 1999 ford f53 motorhome the service soon lite does not work.. have previously had mass air flow problem and coreected now the service servicwe soon lite will not illuminate on start up..also the battery has gone dead and set p1000 now but i do not believe this should cause the service soon lite to not function.. any advise this vehicle needs to have biannual Calif smog done now..

The best fix is to check for codes in the GEM (generic electric module) this would determin if the CK ENG Lt malfunction is with the instrument panel . other than that your best alternative is remove the instrument panel and change out the light bulb
