The code is p1615. My Exterra would start but when I put in drive it wouldn't run

I was driving then all of a sudden I lost power. Car was still running but when I put in gear wouldn't move.

This code is for the immobilizer on the truck. If this code was active the truck wouldn't start. There have been some problems with the transmission cooler on these allowing coolant and transmission fluid to mix. This destroys the clutch plates inside the transmission so I would start by checking the radiator and transmission fluid level. If it's over full, then it's the likely problem.
