how do one fix an obd2 error code 1280 on a 2001 gm Yukon 5.3

Question

I have a wifi scanner connected to an iPhone . there is no check engine light but it somehow overheated and had it towed to my home.. and replacing the thermostat fixed the issue but the scanner still shows the error code

P1280 Accelerator pedal position sensor 2 circuit

Disconnect the battery and put the terminal togehter for 10 seconds, and recheck for the code condition.There is a possibility this is a old code from the overheating condition.If this comes back disconnect the battery again and this time disconnect the APP sensor connection at the acclerator pedal and reconnect. P1280 is more of a poor connection dealing with the APP sensor under dash.
