I have an engine code po171 on my 2004 Mitsubishi galant.what do I need to fix

There can be several causes for this code. The mass air flow sensor is the most common cause, but it can also come up from low fuel pressure, intake manifold leaks or other vacuum leaks, a faulty upstream O2 sensor and even a plugged converter. Each item needs to be eliminated one at a time.
