P0307 2003 Ford F150 -

Question

Getting code P0307 and understand meaning. Engine hesitates between 45 and 55. Does this narrow down the possible causes/fixes in any way?

In a sense this does. It is common for the ignition coils to fail, but most often it takes certain criteria for it to happen. Odds are it's a faulty ignition coil. What I would do is take #7 and move it to the cylinder next to it, then drive the truck and see if the misfire moves with the coil. If it does, replace the coil.
