This is my moms car, they had told her its the crankshaft sensor. But I put a scanner on and it says its the IACV. What should I do? Thanks

Hi there,

If there is no code for the crank sensor, then chances are good the sensor is fine. I would check the IAC, remove and clean it and see if there is any improvement. If not, then perhaps a tune up would resolve the idle issue.
