Hi, I have a boggling situation with my honda . I have done a throttle bottle clean , and sprayed the Maf sensor with maf cleaner. I disconnected battery before doing any of this . When I started it up , seemed fine then it stalled with shifting rpm around 4000 before shifting gears. As well as skipping when I hit the gas petal hard releasing . It stops once released. I replaced the map sensor as the code specified , but did not solve the issue . I've looked online several times and I've seen something that says do a pcm reset but that didn't work either. Now I'm completely lost and need feedback about possible issues it could be .

Thanks in advance ,
Jp

PCM reset is the same as clearing the code with a scan tool, or disconnecting the battery,  In both cases the Monitor are reset and it fuel trim is reset. Doing a throttle body cleaning is good, just realize that you will have a P2279 or a P0507 there would be no drivabilty  if there was no rough idle. what ever the code for the MAP sensor was is important, a big vacuum leak would set and cause a MAP sensor code as well as a open EGR valve. Because the engine idles fine a EGR valve and a Vacuum leak are not the cause for the MAP sensor code. What is typically known to cause a MAP sensor code is a internal short in the EGR valve that would cause the MAP sensor signal to go high, so rule out a short in the EGR valve , clear the code disconnect the EGR valve connection and retest, you will set a EGR code, this is for the MAP sensor code test.

Thanks, I have crossed out the map sensor and egr valve. But when I did the thottle body clean I sprayed the part instead of using a cloth to get the residue off. I was told when I did that the drive by wire may have shorted. So now I'm looking for a new thottle body and it's going to cost me $192.00 new. Wish I could fine it used but sometimes you got to take loses.thanks again, reynaldo for your quick response. Do you know any sites to order parts at a good rate?
