I ran the relay check by connecting the plugs underneath the dash. I ran the ac while the car was just started. In both cases, they came on. Thank you for any help.

Vehicle: 2001 Subaru Forester, 2.5L

Hi there,

You have to run the car up to temp and make sure the fan is coming on and the engine is not getting hot. You might have an issue where the ecm is not turning the fan on properly or the coolant temp sensor is reporting the engine to hot and the fans not able to cool the system. Also, if the cooling fan is coming on when you start the car without the a/c on this could be a problem.
