P1138 H02S slow response Bank 1 Sensor 1

What this code means is the response time is slower than the calibrated value. Whenever you set a upstream H02S code the rear H02S may also set..

Here the Location for the H02S in question

With this type of code P1133 the 02 sensor should be tested, Here is a Chevy Silverado that set a P1133 , When looking at the live date this H02S sensor showed no problems. If this H02S was to be replaced it may just set the same code and having P1133 would just be a hobby. What was found with P1133 was that Chevy has produced a TSB for this code condition TSB# 08-06-04-045A. What this TSB is about that  gasoline can affect the H02S sensor and set this code, The solution was to reprogram the ECM. Since the H02S is still good removing the H02S and the use of a good wire brush to clean the sensor and reinstall and apply some anti sieze on the thread , retest and reprogram the ECM was the solution.
