P0122 1999 Dodge Pickup Ram -

Question

2005 Ram 3500 4X4 with 5.9 and automatic. Engine will cut out and drop to idle while driving then pick right back up to running RPM, going back and forth. Tested at shop with scanner and only code was for a faulty fuel sending unit which has been going bad for a year, just gives faulty tank level reading.

Most Dodge all have faulty fuel level gauge, What need to be check is the fuel volume going into the injection pump. a low fuel volume should be suspected,
