I get 5 v on one terminal and 4.67? v on another and then the ground wire with key on. This is the connector for the tps. All diy vids show one wire 5 v and then i guess signal like 1 v?. im confussed why i have two wires with almost 5 v in each.

Hi there,

If you have 5 volts in both wires, then you have a short to power. Basically the one that should have 5 volts is feeding power to the signal wire. If you are checking this with the tps plugged in, then the tps may be the source of the short. Unplug it and make sure only one wire has 5 volts. If the other is still carrying 5 volts you will have to back track the wire to find where it is shorted out.
